Benevolence

The Renewed Life Church benevolence committee exists to lift up the oppressed, support those in need, and to spread the good news of hope that is salvation through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

God has reached out to many families through this ministry over the past year, and we look forward to seeing Him do even greater work through us in the coming year. "He lifts the poor from the dust and lifts the needy." (Psalm 113:7). We believe that "He who is kind to poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done," (Proverbs 19:16) and that the Lord calls His people to be genuine in their faith through generosity and sharing with those in need. (James 2:14-17, 1 Timothy 6:17-19)

The purposes of our benevolence committee are to:

	Identify and seek to alleviate the suffering of those in need due to financial hardship, loss or hospitalization of family members, homelessness, or spiritual crisis
	Seek avenues of assistance or more advanced relief programs for those who require care and/or services outside our ability to provide
	Help those in need develop a plan for recovery
	Assist existing missions and ministries regardless of denominational affiliation
	Set forth a good example of Christian living in all endeavors
	Preach the truth of Jesus Christ, lead the lost to salvation, and encourage a more sincere relationship by trusting in Him
